🚨🚨Program ALERT 🚨 🚨. We are very excited to announce our program to be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, 6:15pm!! To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we welcome Dr. Emily Sneff, the !! Emily will share stories with us from her new book “When the Declaration of Independence was News”! Please note: because this is a fantastic and timely program, we are holding it at the Wissahickon Valley Library in Blue Bell AND we will start at 6:15pm! As always, light refreshments to follow. Special thanks to the Wissahickon Valley Library and the Upper Dublin Library for helping to make this happen!! See you on May 19 (NOT at The Clifton House!)

🚨🚨‼️‼️PROGRAM ALERT🚨 🚨‼️‼️ “This Old Home” is the title for the Tuesday, April 21, 2026, 7:30pm program of the Historical Society of Fort Washington. Susanne Johnston will describe where Revolutionary War soldiers camped in our area, what battles they fought nearby and on what routes they traveled. Discover what local homes, churches and buildings, which are still in use today, were used in the Revolution and the functions they served.

Susanne is a retired Germantown Academy teacher, Regent of the Towamencin DAR and frequent lecturer on historical topics and genealogy.

The program is open to the public, and, after the presentation, light refreshments will be served in the E. Hamilton Parke Memorial Research Library, which houses over 3,500 reference sources on local history, genealogy and American history and a good number of family histories.
