Highlands Mansion and Gardens The Highlands Mansion and Gardens is a 44-acre historic site with a late 18th century Georgian mansion and two-acre formal garden.

Surrounded by massive stone walls, the gardens offer a beautiful example of early 20th, century estate gardening with an unusual blend of horticulture and architecture. The site features nine outbuildings, including a bank barn, springhouse, greenhouse, smokehouse and Gothic Revival gardener's cottage. The Highlands Historical Society began to restore the 2-acre formal garden to its appearance c.1925 - 1935 in October 2001, with a project at the screening wall on the east side of the garden.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Snell had the most perfect August evening wedding. Surrounded by their favorite people, goats, honey and dancing. It was a wonderful celebration of love under the bright moonlight and romantic willow trees.

Best wishes to you both for a lifetime of happiness and bountiful blessings. It was an honor to have your most special day become a part of history at The Highlands.

Sweet Ben's parents were blessed with a beautiful August wedding day. The father of the bride deserves a shout out for all of the decor and florals, not to mention some planning too! The groom's brother gave a very touching best man speech and his godfather did an awesome job officiating.
Best wishes to the newlyweds for a lifetime of love, happiness and more epic celebrations like the one they had under the willows on their wedding night!

We started August with a truly unique and perfectly planned wedding. This couple wanted their privacy but were happy to let me share some detail shots from their beautiful day.
They had a Chinese tea ceremony on the north lawn, followed by cocktail hour in the mansion, then a traditional western ceremony, filled by dinner in the gardens and lots of dancing under the willows.
They danced the most epic first dance together and the groomsmen/women surprised the groom with an awesome choreographed dance as well. Some other touching moments included having the bride's pre to cut the cake, as they never had a wedding cake and offering a noodle bar at the end of the night!

Experience the awe and wonder of some of nature's most remarkable predators during this exciting live birds of prey program. We are thrilled to host this program that was created by the Whitemarsh Foundation and presented by Raptor Jawns. We are so grateful for this partnership that will offer a rare opportunity to connect with birds of prey through up-close encounter and hands-on learning.
