🚨 Most parents don’t expect this… but 81% of child drownings happen in residential pools.
Not lakes. Not oceans. But in backyard pools.
Right at home.

💔 And it usually happens:
• In silence
• In seconds
• When adults think everything is fine

💡 What this really means:
A home pool doesn’t reduce risk—it increases the need for constant awareness.

⚠️ Safety isn’t optional around residential pools:
• Active, undistracted supervision
• Secure fencing + self-latching gates
• Clear “no unsupervised access” rules
• Swim skills for every child
🛟 The most familiar water is often the most overlooked.
