These lanterns have a story you might not expect. 👀

In the early 1950s, Evelyn Bartlett discovered a pair of 1920s Mizner lanterns in a shop on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. The surprising part? The originals were made from Shell Oil tin cans! After decades of South Florida’s salt air, heat and humidity took their toll, replicas were created in 2024 to bring their distinctive look back to Bonnet House’s Haitian Loggia.
