Thank you to everyone who came to the grand opening reception of Machine Dreaming!
I am deeply grateful to the Henderson Fine Arts Center, San Juan College, and especially to Gallery Coordinator and Curator Monique Holiday and her team for the care, generosity, and thoughtful work that made this exhibition possible. It means so much to have this body of work welcomed into such a beautiful space and shared with such a warm and engaged community.
I would also like to thank Jeff Madeen and Blo Back Gallery for their continued support and belief in my practice. I’m grateful to have had their encouragement as this body of work continues to grow, travel, and find new audiences.
Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, asked questions, shared kind words, engaged in fascinating conversation, and spent time with the work. These pieces are meant to unfold slowly--shifting between surface, landscape, memory, technology, and dream--and it was incredibly meaningful to see them come alive through your presence and attention.
Machine Dreaming began with handmade paintings and grew into discovered worlds through photography, digital transformation, AI-assisted processes, and the act of looking more deeply. The opening reception felt like an extension of that transformation: a moment where the work, the space, and people came together, not to settle on a single meaning, but to let perception linger at the threshold of a separate reality.
I’m also deeply grateful to my family and friends for their love, encouragement, and support--especially my mom, Lynne, and my husband, Brandon, for being there to share such a meaningful evening with me. Having the people I love present as this work entered the world in a new way made the opening even more special.
Machine Dreaming is on view at the Henderson Fine Arts Center Gallery at San Juan College from 29 May through 26 June 2026.
Thank you again to the gallery, the college, Monique, and everyone who helped make the opening such a beautiful success. I’m truly grateful.
