Saturday Kids Art Class: Circles and Sound: Create like Wassily Kandinsky
Ages 5-10
In this creative kids' class, young artists will explore how shapes and colors can express feelings, energy, and imagination—just like music for the eyes. Inspired by Kandinsky’s fascinating theories on circles, triangles, squares, and the emotional power of color, students will design their own abstract masterpieces using delicate Japanese rice paper and vibrant tissue paper.
Through layering, tearing, and arranging bold shapes and colors, kids will discover how art can “speak” without words while creating a one-of-a-kind translucent artwork full of personal expression.

Special One-Day Event!

Join artist Kim Bromley for a unique creative experience on March 28 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Blanden Art Education Center, located at 224 S.8th St, Fort Dodge.

In this one-of-a-kind workshop, participants will draw a still life object, then be guided through hypnosis to draw the same object two more times—exploring how focus, relaxation, and openness can transform the creative process.

This class is a creative experiment in perception and awareness. The effectiveness of hypnosis varies by individual and depends on your willingness to participate. Please note: no refunds will be issued if you are unable to be hypnotized.
