Old Spanish Trail Gallery and Museum

Old Spanish Trail Gallery and Museum Discover original Western art, talented regional artists, and rich history of the Old Spanish Trail. Rotating guest artists and exhibits.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Davis Mountains, our gallery and museum offer a unique blend of art, heritage, and true West Texas hospitality. Old Spanish Trail Gallery and Museum, LLC is a high end fine art gallery featuring representational paintings, pottery and sculpture by local and nationally acclaimed artists. Hidden back on a historic Davis Mountains cattle ranch in Far West Texas near Fort Davis, Marfa, Valentine and Alpine, the gallery is a destination for Big Bend country travelers. It isn't all about the art, either: Enjoy the views from the porch, see restored wagons and relics from this working ranch. Gallery artists include: artist-in-residence Lindy Cook Severns, Cowboy Artist of America Wayne Baize, Texas plein air painter Dina Gregory, Ginger Lemons, Nicole Miller, Roxa Robison, watercolors by Tim Oliver. Pottery and Glass by John Davis, Vickie Bunting, Laura Baize. Breathtaking scenery inside, and out makes Old Spanish Trail Gallery and Museum a fine art destination for all budgets. Open by appointment, always ready to extend West Texas hospitality. Please contact the gallery to set up a special visit to suit your schedule.

Q. What can be better than a leisurely drive onto a working ranch to see some incredible fine art from some of the top artists in the southwest?
A. Sitting on one of the porches with a cold drink or a hot cup of coffee and admiring your purchase surrounded by some of the best scenery in the Davis Mountains.

We're only open by appointment, but that doesn't mean we're stuffy and fussy -- it's just that we're pretty active folks, and someone needs to meet you to open up and put the coffee on. That's always our pleasure!

What does Alpine, Texas artist Ginger Lemons eat before she goes to sleep each night? Obviously, something deliciously colorful and delightful to inspire this playful 4' long acrylic "Scratchin' Out A Livin' "
Let's hope she keeps dreaming up these lifescapes!

Give us a call, text or email and let us know when you'd like to come out to the gallery and see Ginger's vibrant collection of landscapes and lifescapes.

Alpine watercolorist Kelly Straw has some hidden treasures hanging with us, framed by another local, Shirley Biellier and most are priced under $500.
Collecting local is good karma.
