Museo de las Tres Colonias The Museo is proud to have a Historic Museum that honors the contributions of the early Hispanic pioneers who worked the sugar beets.

The Museo de las Tres Colonias provides a living history highlighting Hispanic life, working conditions in the sugar beet industry and community life, most specifically within the Tres Colonias, Buckingham, Andersonville, and Alta Vista, during the Twentieth Century. The adobe home is a great educational tool, interpreting the significance of Hispanic culture and its impact on the Fort Collins com

munity. This museum provides insight and community support of Hispanic culture in the home, religion, work, cultural celebrations, tolerance and social justice. The Museo del las Tres Colonias is an asset to the community and something we can all can take pride in!

I am posting an article from the Coloradoan on my own as an individual only. The article goes back to February 2016. Despite the claim of uncertainty and future in 2016, today in 2026, the Museo is thriving very well as under it's dedicated Board of
Directors, following it's mission of collective history of Mexican/Hispanic Sugar Beet workers, the Board of Directors has moved to next level of a curated museum that is full of wonderful meaningful activities including Neighborhood Night Out/Backpack giveaway, Historic Homes Tour, Thanksgiving baskets for needy families and Day of the Dead during the month of October. Tours have been provided for over 700 folks each year, including PSD elementary and Middle schools etc. also to City of Fort Collins City staff and more. The Museo has a wonderful future and will be even exceptionally better in the future. Below is a link from the Coloradoan article in 2016 about the Museo and what transpired from the previous leadership and board.
