Marcia Tewell creates beautiful mixed media art.
Marcia was first inspired by found object assemblages at an exhibit at the Philly Art Museum by figures made in West Africa.

She took up making figures in the little free time she had outside of work and now retired, can spend hours in the studio with a wide range of objects. She finds many objects from her weaving friends in New England and uses old shuttles, bobbins, and other wooden objects with unique textiles for creating and transforming the figures.

Deb Tewell is an amazing wet felting artist.
Deb has an interest in combining art with inspiration from nature.

Over the years she experimented with drawing and painting. As a park ranger, she saw patterns of nature all around, and translated those patterns, plants, and animals into sensitive and detailed pencil and charcoal drawings. The love of art and nature again merged when she discovered felt-making.

Today Deb gains inspiration from the world around her with the color and texture expressed in her fiber. She recently began painting silk with dyes so she could incorporate abstract designs into her felted wearable art. Her garments have been regionally and nationally recognized.
