In 2016 Jerry Roth took over the abandoned Church of God in Forrest and turned it into Jerry's Hats, Pens, and Pencils Museum. Jerry has had hats most of his life. In 2006 he decided to get serious about collecting hats (ball caps to be precise). As of 12/11/17 Jerry has 7,586 hats, 1,400 pencils and 10,206 pens. Not only does he have hats, pens and pencils he also has memorabilia from FSW. It truly is something to see

I am sorry to say, very sad for me personally, that I have decided to close Jerry’s Hat Museum. I am returning items that were on loan and other items that anyone wants. It’s been a great ride, people from 32 states and 11 foreign countries have toured. Many towns from the area, Fairbury dozens and Forrest at least 2. Thanks to the many who donated items!!
