We want to thank Nolen Contracting for the wonderful job they did replacing, repairing, and repainting our exterior woodwork at the museum recently! We're looking pretty sharp again after some sections in particular were the worse for wear. Here are some pics, but come by and see for yourself as you tour the museum and our current doll exhibit. Open late 'til 8pm on Thursdays!

Here's some info about Telisa Spain, the FHPL member who is giving a talk this Saturday about starting your own collection. Hope to see you this Saturday at 12noon!

Telisa Spain is a lifelong doll lover whose passion for preserving history through dolls spans more than 45 years. Her collection of over 4,000 dolls represents three centuries of fashion, culture, social history, and craftsmanship. She believes each doll is a historical time capsule, telling the story of the people, events, and traditions of its time.

A retired U.S. Army veteran and retired federal government employee, Telisa was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her family has deep roots in Kaufman County, where her grandparents and great-grandparents lived, and she has proudly called Forney home for more than 20 years.
