Louaine was born and raised on a small farm in Forest City, Iowa. Shortly after high school she married her childhood sweetheart, Loren Jordahl. They continue to live in the country where she grew up. When their son and daughter left home to start lives of their own, her appreciation for her surroundings inspired her to try her hand at painting under the watchful eye of her mother-in-law, Leota Jo

rdahl. She began by experimenting in a variety of mediums including oil and watercolors with acrylic becoming her medium of choice. Louaine has been acclaimed by aficionados and artists alike for her innate ability to transfer her keen perception of natural things to canvas. Her style is easy, proportionate...almost photographic; she misses not a petal, leaf, nor feather! Her work is multidimensional, in that it seems to reflect the very "soul" of her subject. You should certainly consider adding Louaine's work to your collection.
