The tradition of the Walker Cup being played on the most storied golf courses in the world continues this week as the event visits the stunning Lahinch Golf Club on the west coast of Ireland. Originally laid out by Tom Morris, the links were redesigned and extended by Alistair Mackenzie in 1927 and renovated by Martin Hawtree in the early 2000s. In addition to the beauty and stray of the golf course, Lahinch is largely known for the rampant goats that freely roam the property and help maintain the turf.

Creating the art for the Walker Cup is generally a dream job and this year is no different. First, the event itself is the best event in golf from a fan perspective as it blends the “no-ropes and small crowds” of the U.S. Amateur with the excitement and thrilling shot-making of match play and team competition. From an artistic perspective, Lahinch presents an abundance of riches - from the ruins of Castle Dough to the bridge over to the Inagh River to the roaming goats and charming village. Some pictures paint themselves.

2026 posters are available onsite at Lahinch and online at the R&A Shop, while prints. Can be purchased at our website. Scroll through the carousel to see art from the last 3 editions of this spectacular event. Best of luck to both teams this week and I just wish was there to watch in person!

It’s FM Championship weekend at TPC Boston and we were honored to create some special artwork for the event.

Last fall the LPGA today announced a new era in broadcast coverage of the world’s best golfers. Leading commercial property insurer FM and the LPGA have partnered on a multi-year agreement focused on transforming the television footprint of the Tour’s North American events. This groundbreaking collaboration is bringing the LPGA weekly telecasts to a new level of excellence with state-of-the-art technology, equipment and content, powering added enhancements from Golf Channel and Trackman.

During a Wednesday evening gala, LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler presented this framed piece to Malcolm Roberts, FM’s chairman and CEO, in appreciation of the company’s increased role and investment in the LPGA Tour. The custom art showcases some of the broadcast enhancements that have been implemented, including Trackman and drone technology, set against one of the most beautiful holes at TPC Boston.

We are gratified to remain involved with the FM Championship after creating the official poster for the inaugural event 2 years ago, and look forward to watching the worlds’ best compete this weekend!

Take a scroll down memory lane of our artwork for the 2013 U.S. Open Championship at Merion ,available now on our website.

After 35 years, many wondered if the national championship would ever return to Merion. When it finally did, it was an instant classic. Philly sports fans turned out in massive numbers all week and made for a spectacular atmosphere.

Back when I started as a Philadelphia artist working in golf, Merion Golf Club was - as it is today - the ultimate, the North Star, a cathedral of the game. When we were first contracted by the Club in 2003, I felt that I had truly “arrived” at the next level in my career. I still get goosebumps when I contemplate that our first project with Merion was to standardize their famous Wicker Basket and Scotch Broom logo, which was already one of the most recognizable and beloved logos in all of golf. I am exceedingly proud that the design we delivered in 2003 has been used by the Club ever since.

Fortunately, this was the start of a longstanding relationship with Merion.  A few years later in 2005, I created a watercolor painting that I consider a personal homage to the legendary club - a portrait of the Wicker Basket on the 8th green, framed by the 4th green and necklace of bunkers in the background. I have always felt this artwork to be one of the finest I have ever made.

Unbelievably, the story gets better. In 2008 the Club commissioned the studio to produce a hand-painted Yardage Book for the East Course. What made this project even more special was that it required me to spend days onsite, surveying every detail of  a golf course that many consider the pinnacle of golf course architecture. Those days I knew I had the very best job in the world.

And then in 2013 the U.S. Open Championship returned to Merion after a 35 year hiatus and Philly went mad. Coinciding with the championship, I had an exhibition at WP Gallery on Walnut St of a series of paintings called Golf Abstractions. Shown here is the 11th hole, where Bobby Jones completed his historic grand slam in 1930.

I have always considered my work to be a modest contribution to the game’s rich tapestry of art and literature, and feel privileged to have worked on these projects for the Club.
