The life of a museum worker: Solving local history mysteries!

We have so many historical photos with zero information attached. The only thing we knew about these photos was that one of the men was Frank Albert Sr. The names of his friends, the dogs, the date, and the location were entirely lost to history.

But museum work is full of surprises. While researching an entirely different topic, a coworker stumbled upon a newspaper article from September 22, 1916!

Thanks to that find, we now know Frank's hunting buddies were Louis Mosher, John Batschi, and Otto Duevel. The crew used to camp out of their car during hunting trips to Mt. Tacoma (Mt. Rainier).

We still don't know the dogs' names, but bringing the rest of this story back to light is an incredible win!
