Bigfoot Discovery Museum

On Sunday night, an electrical fire destroyed Mike Rugg’s home. Many of you know him as the founder of the Bigfoot Discovery Museum in Felton — thankfully, the museum and its collection were spared, but Mike lost everything.

Mike has spent decades welcoming visitors, keeping Santa Cruz weird, and sharing his love for Bigfoot and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Now he needs our help.

We are delighted to have our statue back. It has been a part of our collection since 2003. Thank you Scotts Valley Police Department!

Officers with the Scotts Valley Police Department were able to track down the elusive Bigfoot statue that had been stolen from the Bigfoot Discovery Museum in Felton
