Haunted Greenville Historic Walking Tour
Sunday, October 18, 2026
4 P.M. - 6 p.m.
Longtime Greenville historian and ghost magnet, Roger Kammerer, will lead us on a tour of the paranormal in Greenville’s “Grid” neighborhood. Roger will regale us with stories of past ghostly sightings based on historical events, local lore, and personal experience. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and an amulet to ward off unwanted spiritual influences! This event is welcome to Pitt County Historical Society members and the public.

We will meet at the parking lot on the corner of 3rd Street and Jarvis at 4 pm!

It was a fun event!--we had 80 participants, with more joining us along our way!

Hi friends! FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16th is the LAST DAY to purchase a ticket to the Oyster Roast! We have to give a final number to the caterer. If you plan on attending, member tickets are $45 and non-member tickets are $75. Please contact Roger Kammerer at 252-758-6882 if you have questions or would like to get us your payment. I can also take card payments Thursday and Friday from 10am - 4pm at Woodside Antiques (252-753-9929) if that works better for you. Hope to see everyone there!

Music in the Park doesn’t happen by accident. 🎶 Every note this season was made possible by sponsors who believed Farmville was worth investing in — and we’re so grateful for each one.

Now we’re looking ahead to next year, and we’d love to grow our list of Grand Sponsors. Raising these funds takes a lot of quiet work behind the scenes, but it’s worth every bit of it when we see neighbors gathered together under the trees, kids running around, and the whole community sharing an evening in our park.

Every level of sponsorship matters — big or small, it all adds up to something money can’t buy : a town coming together :)

It is that time of year again! The 2026 Annual Membership Drive and Oyster Roast! It will be held at the Farmville Depot again this year.
