Gallery 4 is an artist cooperative gallery owned-and-operated by 18 local premier member artists, 50 total artists on display & located in historic Downtown Fargo. Gallery 4 offers a wide variety of artwork and gifts by more than 40 local and regional member artists. Our artists have a variety of professional experience, backgrounds and mediums. The gallery is available for special events rental,

pop-up room for exhibitions and a supporting artist gallery. Gallery 4 is a destination gallery for tourists, local art lovers and enthusiasts. Conveniently located just off Broadway in the heart of Downtown Fargo at 115 Roberts Street N. There are many locations for parking, including The Roberts Commons Garage.

Only a few days remain to experience Marilyn Peterson’s pop-up exhibit before it closes at the end of July.

This video features one of her thought-provoking works, The Pauper’s Castle.

As Marilyn Peterson explains:

"The Pauper’s Castle is a reflection of the confines and judgments we place on ourselves and others. One person may see a broken-down, dirty building while another sees a castle, a place of comfort, pride, and belonging. The world would be a better place if we all took the time to see what is truly inside rather than judging only what is visible on the outside. Appearances do not always reflect reality, and understanding another person's perspective can lead to greater compassion and respect."

Through imperfect dwellings that evoke warmth, home, community, contentment, and emotion, Peterson invites us to look beyond appearances and reconsider what truly gives a place, and a person value.

David’s Artist in Residence exhibition continues through the end of July, so there’s still plenty of time to experience his work in person.
