Finnish Heritage Museum Finnish culture and artifacts museum FHM is comprised of dedicated volunteers, all of whom have some Finnish ancestry and/or connection.

Our members meet monthly to discuss museum business and plan for future events. In just a very short time, we have successfully arrived at a point which says, "we are here, we are serious, and we are active."

⚓️In America we celebrate our Fathers on the third Sunday in June, but in Finland they celebrate on the second Sunday in November.

🇫🇮It is the season of Juhannus 🌿— and our members will be enjoying this Finnish celebration of Midsummer — which has its roots in ancient pagan tradition marking the summer solstice and the power of the sun! ☀️ Long before Christianity came to Finland, communities gathered at the water’s edge to light great bonfires called kokko, drive away evil spirits, and give thanks for the season’s bounty. ✨Today Juhannus endures as one of Finland’s most beloved celebrations — a living thread linking the modern Finn to generations long past. 🇫🇮
