My photography invites a visceral emotional response, striving to present a visual proverb—a quiet truth that resonates on a deep, personal level. These images are an immediate reaction of the heart, whether found in the soft glow of a memory or the magnetic pull of a silent horizon.
Returning to fine art after thirty years of teaching, my work has become a different form of visual pedagogy. These photographs portray glimpses of life that exist within a single moment, offering the viewer a sanctuary of serenity and quiet wonder.
I believe that while a camera freezes a point in time, the true art lies in the memory that remains. Each image is a “love letter to the past,” an invitation to pause and reconnect with the parts of ourselves we often leave behind—the innocence of childhood, the stillness of a beckoning landscape, or the encompassing warmth of a scene that evokes a universal sense of “home” and the quietness we often leave behind

Lilly Hollon is a self-taught fine artist born and raised in Fairhope, Al, and currently based in Nashville, Tn. Although she has maintained a lifelong connection to art, Lilly began leaning heavily into her creative practice—particularly painting—during her time studying at Auburn University. What began as a personal outlet quickly evolved into a passion, and she has been creating consistently ever since.
Her work is deeply inspired by nature’s organic form, aiming to capture its raw beauty through a variety of mediums in order to create depth and atmosphere that feels rich, while maintaining a soft, whimsical energy.
Working primarily in abstract collages and paintings, as well as florals and landscapes, her practice spans a wide range of subject matter. Her process is guided by intuition and balance, blending spontaneity with intention.

Camille Cornett is a contemporary abstract painter based in Fairhope, Alabama. Raised painting and drawing, she later studied fashion and business at Louisiana State University before returning to painting after motherhood. Cornett is the co-founder of the Apiary Art Show and creates layered abstract works inspired by atmosphere, nature, and shifts in color.

 Liz Lane transforms the emotions and the intersections of nature using oil, acrylic, gouache and charcoal on canvas and paper. The motion of the brush is free and observed from a micro and macro perspective during the duration of the piece.

Liz graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in fashion design. Abstract principles of design that once influenced her brief time in the fashion industry now influence her art. She explores the energy and connection behind the natural and human world in her abstracts. She pushes back against traditional linear narrative, and believes meaningful stories can be found without typical order. Each piece pulls from the moment it is created in, therefore, each piece is unique in inspiration and thought. Lane uses her brush to perform a dance on canvas, expressive, powerful, and unhindered by rules. A mix of emotions fills the layers of her paintings, but her ultimate goal is for the layers to be cohesive and balanced; a reflection of a personal balance Lane strives to find. Lane currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband, two children and 4 fur babies. She has an open studio practice in Bluff Park where she encourages patrons to stop by, view and interact with the process.

Catie Radney is a progressive abstract painter from Alabama. Radney holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Alabama and apprenticed under Professor Hugh Williams (National Endowment recipient and Alabama Artist of the Year recipient) for over 10 years. She creates, coordinates her business, and educates out of her personal studio in Alexander City, Alabama; where she also makes her home. Radney’s process replicates the constant struggle for balance in all of life. Her content expression mirrors how she navigates her personal life. Radney’s work is very personal yet also universal in it’s concept and incarnation. Creativity is necessary to keeping her present, stable and alive. She has a voracious appetite for image making which is rarely satiated. When painting she uses the canvas as an opportunity to confess her personal thoughts and experiences or diatribe about what she cannot reconcile from the world outside of the studio. As the marks evolve into shape/form she begins responding with color and shape, layers and layers of color and shape. Approaching a solution involves allowing the figurative forms in the composition to be birthed into existence. The implied figures give structure to the raw nature of the layers and layers of underpainting. The figures play the role of masking or distracting from what is too literal or too honest for for the artist yet to reveal. This donning of recognizable form in paint mirrors the every human’s experience of wearing an acceptable persona to navigate their daily life.

Shane Miller’s work focuses on exploring subconscious feelings through manifesting landscapes. The scenes don’t typically depict a specific place and are painted from memory and imagination.

He often says he wants the work to feel as if you are recalling a distant dream or memory.

Porter Rivers’ inspiration comes from the architectural details of southern homes, rolling farm hills, and river banks he grew up surrounded by in his hometown, Selma, AL. He has always had a love of drawing and expressing himself through art.

A graduate of Samford University, Porter found a passion in painting during a freshman year art class, where he also met his wife, Emily. While he transitioned to the business school, Porter wanted to be able to continue painting as a hobby during his college years.

Porter’s work ranges from watercolor homes, to acrylic landscapes, to live wedding paintings, to original abstract pieces. He hopes to be able to bring and preserve memories in color through his artwork and loves interacting with each client.

Emily, an interior designer, and Porter, their son, and daughter (due May 2026) currently reside in Birmingham.

Olivia Fields is a fine artist from Atlanta, Ga. Her time spent out west working on a dude ranch inspires much of her art as do her travels around the U.S. and abroad. Olivia’s work is rooted in texture and color, and she often incorporates textiles, clay and sand into her paintings to build layers and dimension to inspire her clients to see the constant creativity, complexity, as well as the simplicity along life’s journey.
