They were working on jail and uncovered these whole initials on the back door.

We know 2 of them are the Sheriff at time of construction and possibly his deputy or following sheriff:
Henry Jay Childs
James N. Hayden

We do not know who the H.S. stands for. Possibly Holbert Scott an early county commissioner at this time period. If anyone might know let us hear back.

We also would like a list of deputies from 1881-1913 as we cannot find that information. Please let us know if you can help.
