Fairbury Echoes Museum has many historical Fairbury items on permanent display. The first room features businesses, coal mining and the railroad. Room 2 focuses on the schools, churches, and government. The Stafford Collection (items of long-ago living from original benefactors Marion and Floyd Stafford) is displayed in the third room. The fourth room is the Kennedy-Nussbaum Reading and Reference Room which has tons of resources including many of Dale Maley's historic books. The final room is a rotating exhibit that is changed a couple of times each year. Currently, it features the 150th Anniversary of the Fairbury Fair which will be coming down at the end of September so be sure to stop in soon so you don't miss it. There is no admission charge. The museum is located at 126 W Locust St in downtown Fairbury and it is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 to 4:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 11:00.
