About S**G:
The Student Ceramic Arts Guild (S**G) is a vibrant, student-run group of UAF ceramic students and community members dedicated to sharing the art and craft of clay. S**G regularly hosts public presentations and workshops with world-renowned ceramic artists, along with pottery sales, fundraisers and community initiatives. These extracurricular experiences are open to both students and the wider community, fostering creativity, learning and connection through the ceramic arts.
About UAF Ceramics:
The Ceramics program at UAF offers a comprehensive, hands-on education in clay, supporting students from beginner to advanced levels. With access to well-equipped studios, kiln facilities and experienced faculty, students explore wheel throwing, handbuilding and experimental approaches while developing strong technical and conceptual skills. The program encourages creative exploration, collaboration and engagement with the broader arts community.
