🎬 Fair Lawn Summer Movie Series presents the Hamilton Sing-Along!

Help kick off Fair Lawn’s July 250 celebration festivities with a special sing-along screening of Hamilton on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 8:30 PM.

Experience the acclaimed Broadway musical that tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of America’s Founding Fathers and first Secretary of the Treasury, captured live at the Richard Rodgers Theatre with the original Broadway cast.

This event is free to attend and registration is not required.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join us on the beach at Memorial Pool for a summer evening of music, history, and community.

Costumes are encouraged!

Today, Fair Lawn High School students attended the History Happened Here 2026 Expo at Rutgers University’s Livingston Student Center in New Brunswick as part of the statewide RevolutionNJ initiative.

The expo highlights outstanding student local history projects from across New Jersey and helps raise awareness of the importance of preserving and sharing community history.

Accompanied by Dr. Steffany Baptiste, Fair Lawn students presented projects including Revolution is an Art, American Icons, Voices of the Revolution, and The French Influence and Lafayette. Students also shared copies of historic wills from Fair Lawn’s Garretson Forge & Farm containing the names of enslaved individuals transferred as property.

Congratulations to our students and educators for representing Fair Lawn and helping ensure these stories continue to be remembered and shared.

Fair Lawn’s Revolution 250 celebration is just getting started. From trolley tours, exhibits, music, fireworks, and community celebrations, there is so much more ahead as we commemorate America’s 250th anniversary right here in Fair Lawn.

Fair Lawn, let’s light up the town!

As part of our Revolution 250 celebration, residents are invited to join our Red, White & Bright Home Decorating Celebration and show off their patriotic spirit.

Decorate your home in red, white, and blue and help create a community celebration in honor of America’s 250th birthday.

Participating homes will be featured on a public map for residents to enjoy throughout the season.
