What a difference a year makes! The Evanston Made Group Show is in person this year at the Evanston Art Center, May 28 - June 30. Opening weekend is limited access due to Covid restrictions need you to reserve time slots, 15 visitors per half hour! Here’s my painting in the show, “Joy in the Morning,” watercolor on paper. Many people (including me) believe that cardinals are messengers from heaven and often represent loved ones who have passed away. Whenever I see cardinals, which I often do (!), it’s like my parents are visiting or thinking of me … I saw this lovely cardinal outside my; window, in the thicket of branches, on the morning before my husband’s knee surgery. And to me, it was my mother, and my husband’s mother, sending their love.
