First church in Eunice!

We celebrate the blessing of 130 Years of Methodist Ministry in Eunice LA!
1894~2024
From the founding of Eunice in 1894, Methodists have been committed to serving Christ by serving the community. First Methodist enjoys the same birthday as the City of Eunice, and we praise God for our rich heritage of over a century of ministry.
May God richly bless our community, our ministry and our future. We step into 2024 excited about opportunities to worship, spread the Gospel of Salvation and serve God's Kingdom with gladness and cheer!

What's the next book on your reading list?

For the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center rangers, we've got a great book next up on our list. To continue the celebration of Native American Heritage Month, the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center's next Read with a Ranger program will feature the book "Moon's Cloud Blanket" and a craft.

Learn about Spanish moss and the Native American folktale from South Louisiana. Our next Read with a Ranger program is Wednesday, November 29, at 10 am in the Eunice Public Library (222 S 2nd St, Eunice, LA 70535).

As this coming Sunday’s CFMA Lake Charles Chapter’s Cajun Music Hall of Fame Ceremony is approaching, this photo is a reminder of last year’s special surprise in-home induction ceremony of long time musician Eston Bellow of Eunice, La. L-R: Eston and Rhonda Istre, former Vice President, Director of the Lake Charles Chapter’s Hall of Fame and founder of Cajun Life page is presenting him with his plaque and a copy of his biography that I had the privilege of writing for his induction. Also accompanying Rhonda that day was myself (Neal P Granger) , fellow LC Chapter Hall of Fame musician and longtime friend Jerry Devillier, and his family. It was truly a touching moment and a great day. Eston is still going strong today. The public is invited to attend this years event where they will be inducting 7 new members.
