We meet once a month for about 2 hours.
Please email [email protected] or stop by during regular hours and ask to speak to Amelia.

We'll also have some awesome stuff going on with loose parts, making a miniature city out of bits and pieces from our workshop. We'll photograph each of your creations and ask you for a story about it. We think we'll maybe make a calendar from the images if we get good results.
See below for a link to event info. See you tomorrow, rain or shine!

Speaking of our awesome staff, several of tonight's auction items were created by staff members, board members, and volunteers! We know the best people.
Thanks for your sponsorship, Connect the Dots!

Shout out to @LittleHandsCan, kid volunteers who were invited for a "thank you" play date, but stayed Friday to help get ready for our Pumpkin Auction and Family Halloween Party!
Kids from toddlers to teenagers (and their parents) helped make and hang paper bats, traced and cut mask templates for a craft project, and made tons of buttons for carnival prizes.
(Also, last time they were here, they helped peel and sort old crayons so we could make recycled crayons -- also for carnival prizes.)
Who's coming to our Pumpkin Auction and Family Halloween Party? Boogie Down will be there!
Our event sponsor, Boogie Down Studios, will be on-site with a fun, unique photo booth, live photographer, and exciting props to take photos of your family. You can wear your own costumes or get dressed up at the museum; your regular carnival tickets can be used as currency at the photo booth (photos will cost 6 tickets; extra prints are 4 tickets).
Take home a fun souvenir of the night! Photos from Boogie Down!
(Also, Brooklyn at Boogie Down Studios asked us to share this special invitation: "We focus on making every event unique and giving every guest a tangible memory. Mention 'Adventure! Children's Museum' when you book your holiday party for 10% off our services!)

THANK YOU to all the staff and volunteers who put in so much effort Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday to help improve Adventure!
Board member Christine arrived with her spouse, John, on Sunday night to start carpet removal from the Tree House, and Gia dropped off two CD listening stations as a donation.
Fellow board member and board member-hopeful Kami and Stephanie came by on Monday to assist.
Volunteers Shawn, Adam, and Thomas from Palo Alto Software joined us on Monday afternoon (and Shawn returned on Tuesday).
Kami and board member Nicia also stopped in on Tuesday to lend a hand, and our amazing staff switched up their regular cleaning and organizing routine by learning to install flooring, patching paint, and shampooing our large World Vet Clinic animals, among other tasks.
Cheers to Rylie, Justin, Emily, Hana, Emma, and Lauren for your extra time and willingness to think outside the box!
We weren't able to finish some of the tasks on our to-do list, so we'll keep plugging away, trying to re-introduce the damaged motor boat, finish the Sounds of Japan exhibit, organize our stored collections, create an animation station, and more. If you have time to volunteer, we have projects going every day of the week, and work sessions regularly on Mondays from 6 till 8:30.
Thanks for your patience during our closure! We opened up this morning after a long night, and we hope to see you soon.
We're making the most of our two-day museum closure! We hope to open on time Wednesday morning. See you soon!
This humongous brain has been growing in our museum store for about a month, so you can see that now is the perfect time to start growing your own brain-in-a-jar for Halloween or your science classes!
I've been told this swelling polymer brain looks and feels alot like the real thing, and that it is reusable too (just dry it out at the end of the season and it should shrink to its original size, as shown on the left).
Best of all, your purchase of a Grow Brain, like all items in our museum store, supports our 501c3 nonprofit museum. 100 percent of the profits benefit our mission. New items arriving all fall!
Thank you, Ballet Fantastique, for a really exciting performance and a super-fun dance class today!
For anyone who missed today's event, we have brochures about classes and performances, as well as coupons for discounted tickets to Ballet Fantastique's performance of Babes in Toyland this fall and winter. Come get yours while we have them!
