Usually around this time of year the Friends of Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead are preparing to have you for the Annual Valentine's Tea Fundraiser. Given the public health order we cannot hold our usual Valentine’s Tea so we are postponing until Mother’s Day weekend, May 8th and 9th. We look forward to welcoming you into our beautiful Sike’s Adobe for tea, sandwiches and delicious pastries. For all of our Mom’s we would like to offer a little surprise and of course, a tour of the Adobe and Farmstead for all of you. Tea reservations will open April 1, 2021.

The Sikes' Creamery is a stones throw from their home. In its day the layered roofing provided optimal temperature for dairy storage.
Its perfect weather to hike the trails nearby or, perhaps, check out the farmers market a few feet away!

After substantial consideration, management has decided that the North San Diego / Sikes Adobe - Certified Farmers Market will be CLOSED tomorrow Sunday August 2, 2020 due to Health and Safety Concerns. The expected heat for our location exceeds our established safety limits, and pose too much risk to the safety of shoppers and vendors.
Market closure policy: http://www.northsdfarmersmarket.com/
- We will be back on Sunday August 9, 2020 with all of our Public Health Protocols in place. https://www.facebook.com/notes/3252803021450021/
- Just a Reminder: **We are STILL a Rain-or-Shine Market.**

The evening scenery never gets old here at Sikes.
Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead needs volunteers to help with the gardens and surrounding River Park habitat.
The schedule can be based around the volunteer’s availability. Duties include watering, planting and weeding the gardens, orchard, grape vines, native plants gardens and nursery.
No experience required, just people who like working outside, need volunteer hours or looking for a way to give back.
Also, looking for volunteers on Sundays to help run the Sikes Adobe Farmers Market booth.
For more information please contact Leana Bulay at 760-716-1214/[email protected]
