We look forward to welcoming you into our beautiful Sike’s Adobe for tea, sandwiches and delicious pastries. For all of our Mom’s we would like to offer a little surprise and of course, a tour of the Adobe and Farmstead for all of you. Tea reservations will open April 1, 2021.

After substantial consideration, management has decided that the North San Diego / Sikes Adobe - Certified Farmers Market will be CLOSED tomorrow Sunday August 2, 2020 due to Health and Safety Concerns. The expected heat for our location exceeds our established safety limits, and pose too much risk to the safety of shoppers and vendors.
Market closure policy: http://www.northsdfarmersmarket.com/
- We will be back on Sunday August 9, 2020 with all of our Public Health Protocols in place. https://www.facebook.com/notes/3252803021450021/
- Just a Reminder: **We are STILL a Rain-or-Shine Market.**

Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead needs volunteers to help with the gardens and surrounding River Park habitat.

The schedule can be based around the volunteer’s availability. Duties include watering, planting and weeding the gardens, orchard, grape vines, native plants gardens and nursery.

No experience required, just people who like working outside, need volunteer hours or looking for a way to give back.

Also, looking for volunteers on Sundays to help run the Sikes Adobe Farmers Market booth.

Congratulations to the San Dieguito River Park and their community partners for receiving the California State Parks Outdoor Equity Grant for Escondido Explores the San Dieguito Watershed!

As part of this program, children with limited access to outdoor spaces will be able to experience nature through a series of free day trips throughout the local watershed. On one of these trips, the San Diego Archaeological Center will introduce kids to the region’s 10,000-year history through educational exhibits, analysis of a mock archaeological site, and discussion about protecting and preserving our cultural resources.

UPDATE: Tuesday June 2, 2020. (Please feel free to SHARE!)

Certified Farmers Markets in San Diego County are continuing to reopen on modified basis with public health protocols in place, and RFB Family Farm and Apiaries local raw honey is available through most of our "usual" and some alternate sources.

1- The Sunday North San Diego / Sikes Adobe - Certified Farmers Market at the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead reopened on a modified basis on Sunday March 29. It runs 10:30am-3:30pm every Sunday and you can always find us there. EBT accepted at this location.

2- The Tuesday Escondido Certified Farmers' Market reopened on June 2nd. 2:30pm-6:30pm.

3- The Friday Rancho Bernardo Certified Farmers Market is reopening on June 5th. 9am-1pm.

4- The Farm Stand West in Escondido(I-15 at Citracado) is being provided with supplies of our honey for sale on a regular basis.

5- Sunny Side Kitchen in Escondido has a small supply of our honey on hand for sale. Pick-up/Take-out, Delivery, and Dine-in (now open at a reduced capacity).

6- CUSTOM ORDERS.
For custom orders, please contact CLAIRE by cell/text at 858-735-5311 or email us at [email protected].

RFB has established "to-go" and "curbside pick-up" protocols and policies.

On days when we are not selling at a Farmers Market, we are happy to arrange pick up from us in person at our location in Rancho Penasquitos. As always, we can accept all forms of payment: cash, major credit/debit cards, or for a truly contactless experience we accept any form of tap-and-pay (Smartphone Payment App, Smart Watch, Contactless Debit/Credit Card, etc). EBT is also accepted on pick-up orders.

-> Do you already have a Contactless Debit/Credit Card and not know it? Check for the contactless symbol on the front or back of your card. To pay contactlessly, simply touch your contactless card against a contactless reader. A beep &/or green light shows your payment is being processed.

Following are the Public Health Protocols RFB Family Farm and Apiaries has in place for "outside Farmers Markets" pick-up and to-go orders:
- Please wear a nose and mouth covering.
- Please only arrange to make a pick up if you are in good health.
- We will greet you at our front door or curbside at your car wearing a nose/mouth covering, and put on fresh gloves.
- We will maintain 6-foot social distancing at all times.
- We will disinfect your jars/bottles in front of you, and place them in a paper bag, which we will place in our "contactless cardboard box transition container" and pass it over to you.
- If paying with a card, we will sanitize your card when we receive it, complete your transaction, and sanitize it again before returning it to you, all using our "contactless cardboard box transition container".
- If you will be signing for your purchase, we will disinfect the signature panel first, and offer you a sanitized stylus if you prefer.
- If paying by cash, consider paying with exact change to eliminate the need for you to take change back (we do always make change if you need us to).

Please be advised that the Saturday PQ Certified Farmers Market has CLOSED PERMANENTLY.

Stay healthy, and keep safe. We are committed to keeping you connected with your honey!

A little of the amazing history of the landmark that has hosted our Farmers Market every week since 2011; the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead.
UPDATE: Wednesday May 13, 2020.
Certified Farmers Markets in San Diego County are slowly starting to reopen on modified basis with public health protocols in place, and RFB Family Farm and Apiaries local raw honey is available through some of our "usual" and some alternate sources.

1- The Sunday North San Diego / Sikes Adobe - Certified Farmers Market at the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead reopened on a modified basis with a Park Ranger on site, on Sunday March 29. It runs 10:30am-3:30pm every Sunday and you can always find us there.

2- The Farm Stand West in Escondido (I-15 at Citracado) is being provided with supplies of our honey for sale on a regular basis.

3- Sunny Side Kitchen in Escondido (Pick-up/Take-out and Delivery only) has a small supply of our honey for sale.

4- CUSTOM ORDERS. In response to the Public Health Orders as they were announced, RFB promptly established our "to-go" / "curbside pick-up" protocols policy, which we have been operating under since March 12th, and have updated as orders were revised.

Monday-Saturday, we are happy to arrange getting a purchase of our honey to you. We will assist each shopper individually, with pick up from us in person at our location in Rancho Penasquitos. As always, we can accept all forms of payment, cash, credit/debit, or for a truly contactless experience we accept any form of tap-and-pay (Smartphone Payment App, Apple Watch, Contactless Debit/Credit Card, etc). We can also accept EBT.

-> Do you already have a Contactless Debit/Credit Card and not know it? Check for the contactless symbol on the front or back of your card. To pay contactlessly, simply touch your contactless card against the reader. A beep &/or green light shows your payment is being processed.

Following are the Public Health Protocols RFB Family Farm and Apiaries has in place:
- Please wear a nose and mouth covering.
- Please only arrange to make a pick up if you are in good health.
- We will greet you at our front door or curbside at your car (and our apologies, not shake your hand) wearing a nose and mouth covering, and put on fresh gloves.
- We will maintain 6-foot social distancing at all times.
- We will disinfect your jars/bottles in front of you, and place them in a paper bag, which we will place in our contactless "cardboard box transition container" and pass it over to you.
- If paying with a card, we will sanitize your card when we receive it, complete your transaction, and sanitize it again before returning it to you, all using our contactless "cardboard box transition container".
- If you will be signing for your purchase, we will disinfect the signature panel first.
- If paying by cash, consider paying with exact change to eliminate the need for you to take change back (we can always make change if you need us to).
- Don't forget that for a truly contactless experience we accept any form of tap-and-pay (Smartphone Payment App, Apple Watch, Contactless Debit/Credit Card, etc). We can also accept EBT.

-> Do you already have a Contactless Debit/Credit Card and not know it? Check for the contactless symbol on the front or back of your card. To pay contactlessly, simply touch your contactless card against the reader. A beep &/or green light shows your payment is being processed.

A broader version of this protocol is also in place as we sell at the North San Diego / Sikes Adobe - Certified Farmers Market.

For custom orders, please contact CLAIRE by cell at 858-735-5311 or email us at [email protected].

Regarding our other weekly Farmers Markets:
- The Tuesday Escondido Certified Farmers' Market is on hiatus, as directed by the City of Escondido.
- The Friday Rancho Bernardo Certified Farmers Market is on hiatus, as directed by the Bernardo Winery.
- The Saturday PQ Certified Farmers Market has CLOSED PERMANENTLY.
