I wanted to re-post a message that I posted during the middle of December and add a little bit to it. First here is the message that I posted: This will seem like a weird post but we are working on some Vintage Christmas Display ideas and are consistently looking for Vintage Christmas Items. We are also looking for items like Sears and Montgomery Ward Christmas Wish Books as well as Ames Department Store, W.T. Grant Department Store and F.W. Woolworth Department Store Christmas Ephemera, advertising, bags, you name it. Message us if you have anything that is just hanging around in that box of stuff that you aren't really sure what to do with.

Here is an addition or follow-up: We are always thinking about how we can best display our Rural and Farm Life collection that continues to grow - thanks to so many of you - and also our Christmas Collection as it continues to grow. We would love to have a permanent site rather than being a "mobile" museum but don't really have the financial where-with-all to go looking for a building, etc. However, that said ... we are really open to ideas and if you or someone you know happen to have a building or space that you are wondering what you can do with it rather than having it sit open ... we would love to explore with you ... we have even envisioned doing everything in a barn space that could include all of these displays and bring people to our area. It is a dream but if you think you have some thoughts on making this dream a reality ... please, please, message us!

We are also looking for mannequins and mannequin parts to be made into displays and animatronics. If you have any you are willing to part with message us.

So we are still around and still collecting. We have quite a collection and it grows every day. We are still dreaming of having a space to put the museum in a permanent location. We have stuff for various displays - including kitchen, shop, barn, milk house, toolshed, town barber shop, sugar shack, antique engines, and are even thinking we could combine our Christmas collectibles, our nativity scenes, and our church collectibles all in one place. However we don't have a space or money. However being that we are dreamers ... if you or someone you know has a barn, shed or other type of building that you think could house a project like this and you or they would be willing to donate the building and land we would love to hear from you. Not sure where this dream goes but thought we would throw it out there. Message us if any ideas pop into your head.

We had a great day yesterday at Babbie's Rural and Farm Life Learning Museum in Peru, NY. It really got the juices flowing and got us dreaming about our museum being able to be in a permanent location for residents of Vermont and visitors to our great state to be able to visit and learn about life in the Green Mountains many years ago. We don't have money so it is probably only a dream ... but we have to have those don't we.

Be sure to stop by Boston Post Dairy this Saturday for their "Taste of Maple" day. Vermont Rural & Farm Life Mobile Museum has our Maple Sugaring history display set up for all to see. Tastings and other fun stuff going on as well. See you there.

We are working on the Maple Sugaring exhibit that is part of our Mobile Museum. If you have any vintage sugaring equipment, supplies, tools, etc that you would be willing to donate to the museum, let us know.

Hey we know that folks are heading to start the tapping. Keep us in mind if you trip over any vintage sugaring items that you would consider donating to our mobile museum.

Hi everyone. I have finally had a few minutes to get our Facebook presence started. There is more to come. Who would have thought that this project that started less than a year ago would continue to grow and develop as it has. We are having a great time. We are always seeking new donations of items that depict Rural and Farm Life in Vermont to add to the collection. If you have anything you would like to donate, please message us. There will be more information posted here soon.
