The Sunbeam was a staple for Ennis in its heyday. Who remembers riding this train?

In an era of rapid transit in Texas the Southern Pacific's advertisements cited the Sunbeam trains - modern streamliners - as the apex in luxury and speed between Dallas and Houston - an elapsed time of four hours and twenty-five minutes. The Ennis Railroad & Cultural Heritage Museum will close early on Friday, December 12th, but will reopen Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday from 1pm-4pm.
