The Sunbeam was a staple for Ennis in its heyday. Who remembers riding this train?
In an era of rapid transit in Texas the Southern Pacific's advertisements cited the Sunbeam trains - modern streamliners - as the apex in luxury and speed between Dallas and Houston - an elapsed time of four hours and twenty-five minutes. This photo was taken in 1952 and is courtesy the Museum of the American Railroad, which is in Frisco, Texas. Please follow them here. They are located in Frisco, Texas and working hard on preserving the history of our nation's railroads.
