Pressing Matters presented for Denver’s Month of Printmaking, brings together a dynamic mix of collaborative and individual works that highlight the urgency of our shared cultural moment. Curated by Carlos Frésquez and Grace Gutierrez of Los Fantasmas Artist Collective, the exhibition features works created atop screen-printed images by Carlos Frésquez, inviting artists from all backgrounds and mediums to respond, transform, and build upon his iconic visual language. Alongside these collaborations, will be a small prints showcase featuring a wide range of makers whose voices reflect the richness of Chicano/a/x, Latino, Indigenous, Q***r, and other Denver communities. Rooted in dialogue and the politics of the present, Pressing Matters describes how printmaking becomes both a tool and a testimony, pressing us to see, feel, and act!

Exhibition Description

Taste Test is back for its third year! This rotating winter exhibition at Understudy presents diorama-style window box installations that offer a snapshot of what’s happening in the art scene right now. For 2026, we’re partnering with six Englewood-based galleries representing a dynamic group of emerging artists. Taste Test features work from over 35 artists offering a survey of the ideas, voices, and experimentation shaping the region right now. The participating galleries are: Blue Tile Gallery, Los Fantasmas Artist Collective, NKollectiv, Rising Gallery, SeeSaw Gallery and SP_CE13. This exhibition runs January 15 - March 15 and is viewable from outside the gallery.

Join us Friday, October 25th from 6–9 PM at the Bus Stop Gallery (4895 Broadway) for the closing of Entre Fantasmas, the hauntingly beautiful group exhibition by Los Fantasmas Artist Collective.

Featuring works by Tony Diego, Morgan DeVillier, Carlos Fresquez, Grace Gutierrez, Veronica Herrera, Josiah Lopez, Izzy Lozano, Frank Lucero, Justin Maes, and Micah Ramirez — this collective bridges memory, culture, and identity in layered, powerful ways.

This New Mexico Art invitational exhibit brings together artist that express art and heritage of a culture that thrives in New Mexico and well beyond. This exhibit clearly echoes, the mission and vision of the Los Fantasma‘s Artist collective, in that it brings together artists whose art reflects the treasured and living history of New Mexico as well as a cultural understanding examining issues that threaten the survival of this art form.
