Enfield Shaker Museum WE ARE OPEN FOR THE SEASON! Nestled in a valley between Mt. At its peak in the mid 19th century, the community was home to three "Families" of Shakers.

603-632-4346 Assurance and Mascoma Lake, in Enfield, New Hampshire, the Enfield Shaker site has been cherished for over 200 years. They practiced equality of the sexes and races, celibacy, pacifism, and communal ownership of property. Shakers farmed over 3,000 acres of land, educated children in model schools and worshiped in the “Shaker Way.”

This weekend! Make your own Turkey Wing Whisk Broom on Saturday September 5th! Join our resident broom squire Larry Antonuk and learned to make a simple bundle whisk broom, including the knots and materials used to make all brooms. After you master the skills necessary to use a “tumble spool”, you will move on to the more challenging turkey wing whisk broom. FREE concert! Join us, organist and director Henry Danaher, and various singers and conductors from the Upper Valley for a Summer Chorale Masterworks Concert at the Mary Keane Chapel on August 23rd at 4pm. Reception to follow. Donations will go towards the preservation of the chapel's Casavant organ. We can't wait to see you!

Formally on display in the State Library in honor of the 250th anniversary of Mother Anne Lee's arrival to what was then the American Colonies, we are happy and honored to continue to display this wonderful exhibit
