You're invited! Thursday, October 22 at 5:30 p.m.

Celebrate the opening of "For the Love of the Game: 100 Years of Playing Ball at Central" with us! Curated by students, this exhibit looks back at the history of baseball and softball at Central.

Join us to meet student curators, discover the history of playing ball at CWU, including CWU’s 1968 NAIA World Series team, enjoy baseball-themed refreshments, and take a selfie at our selfie station. Plus, check out "Beisboleros: The Early History of Latino Baseball Players in the United States, 1868-1930" curated by CWU’s Dr. Gilberto Garcia.

Free and open to the public.

We're excited to welcome master weaver Wahpeniat back to the MCE for another fantastic basket weaving workshop on Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Master weaver Wahpeniat, CWU alum (‘92 Sociology) and enrolled Yakama, will lead a free, 2-hour basket making workshop at the Museum of Culture and Environment, in the Dean Hall Lobby. If you’ve attended a prior workshop, Wahpeniat will be introducing new material, but it will still be suitable for first time attendees.

All materials for a wa’paas (soft sided basket) are included for the first seventy-five attendees. Due to the popularity of these workshops, registration is encouraged.

Light refreshments will be served.
