Today, we’re honoring Betty Orr, a true pioneer of the recreational vehicle industry and a trailblazer for women in RV history.

Betty broke barriers in the 1930s, becoming the first female executive in the RV industry and the first woman to lead an RV manufacturing company. She also made history through her leadership in industry associations, helping pave the way for future generations of women in the RV industry.

Betty Orr was part of the inaugural RV/MH Hall of Fame Class of 1972, where she stood as the only woman in the first class of inductees.

Her leadership, determination, and pioneering spirit continue to be an important part of RV history. We are proud to celebrate the legacy of Betty Orr and the impact she made on our industry.

Robert has earned this honor through his decades of leadership, innovation, and dedicated service to the manufactured housing industry. As President and Division Developer of Blair Group Communities, he played an important role in developing quality manufactured housing and active adult communities that provided residents with affordable housing and vibrant lifestyles.

Throughout his career, Robert championed the value of manufactured housing and strengthened industry representation through his leadership with the Florida Manufactured Housing Association and national industry organizations. His commitment to community service and charitable causes further reflects his dedication to making a positive impact beyond the industry. We are proud to welcome Robert Blair Young into the RV/MH Hall of Fame Class of 2026 and celebrate his lasting legacy of leadership, advocacy, and service.

The Green Jacket Ceremony is a respectful tradition that welcomes new Hall of Fame inductees into a community built on leadership, innovation, and service.

It also connects each new inductee with the history of the RV and manufactured housing industries: and with the pioneers whose stories continue to guide our future.

The 2026 Green Jacket Ceremony will take place on August 16 at 5pm as part of the 2026 Induction Weekend. This confirmed date marks an important moment for honoring the people who have helped shape mobile living.

Bill has earned this honor through more than three decades of leadership, advocacy, and dedicated service to the recreational vehicle and campground industries. As Executive Director of MARVAC and later MMH&RVCA, he played a key role in strengthening industry representation, supporting members, and promoting the growth of RV travel and outdoor recreation throughout Michigan.

Known for his strategic vision and commitment to the industry, Bill helped foster collaboration among RV, campground, and manufactured housing professionals while helping Michigan become one of the nation’s premier destinations for RV travel and camping. We are proud to welcome Bill Sheffer into the RV/MH Hall of Fame Class of 2026 and celebrate his lasting legacy of leadership and service.
