Elizabethtown Fireman's Historical Society The Elizabethtown Fireman’s Historical Society is not part of the Elizabethtown Fire Department. Our Mission:

1. Box 266, Elizabethtown, Pa 17022.

It is very important to understand that this organization does not, in any way, use funds donated to the Elizabethtown Fire Department. Our purpose and mission is to preserve and promote the heritage of the fire service in the Elizabethtown area. The Elizabethtown Fireman’s Historical Society was formed in June 2016 with its first organized meeting in August 2016. Encourage the study of historical

subjects related to firefighting and the fire service.

2. Promote an understanding of the heritage of the fire service in the Elizabethtown area.

3. Compile and preserve historical documents, artifacts, and other information related to the fire service.

4. Promote and provide fire service related educational opportunities and safety to the Elizabethtown community. The Elizabethtown Fireman’s Historical Society is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is not part of the Elizabethtown Fire Department. The Elizabethtown Fireman’s Historical Society will generate its own funds through its own fundraisers and donations. The Elizabethtown Fireman’s Historical Society is always seeking to acquire more historical material and welcomes donations. All acquisitions must be consistent with the Society needs and requirements. The Elizabethtown Fireman’s Historical Society is looking for volunteers. We are proud to announce that we have brought back a piece of Elizabethtown history. We would like to thank our key donors that made this return possible. We need to thank the previous owner that took great care of the engine and for reaching out to us when they were ready to sell. We need to thank Cocker’s Towing for transporting the engine back to Elizabethtown. Lastly, we need to thank every person, business, and group that supports us.
