Justin K Prim: "Here are a few holiday colors for you. A selection of sapphires that we took through the whole cutting process. I calculated the final yield at the bottom. You can see that the average percentage hovers in the mid 20s. This is due to several factors, but for these five it was mostly due to inclusions that needed to be worked around. Notice that the stone that got cut in half ended up with the best return, though the individual stones are smaller."
