My creations are layers of colors and designs that I let evolve organically. This a Ruana that I’ve been working in for quite some time now. Layers of dye with soy wax resist and now the addition of super fine merino wool Nuno felted to create a textural design on design. It’s a meditative process that takes time and patience. The complex results are so worth the extra effort and time. Don’t know when it will be finished… but it will tell me….. for now just enjoying having the energy to work on it and the creative journey it is inspiring

Exploring botanical printing on my dyed silk. This silk charmeuse scarf was dyed blue first. Dyes were steam set. Then I used wisteria leaves from my garden and a dye blanket with natural cochineal to over dye the blue.
I love the colorful imprint of wisteria leaves

The 50th +/- Reunion Planned for this coming October had a little snag in the date(s) selected and as a result we have changed the reunion date as seen in New "SAVE the DATE" flyer.

Hoping this doesn't exclude any of you that have already planned to come... Hoping now even more of you can come than before!

The planning team has been meeting regularly to come up with an event that will be sure to please! Stay tuned for more details.

The Facebook group is designed to provide an easy way for Bel Air High Alumni (especially the Classic Highlanders from the 60's and 70's) to reconnect at anytime. Hopefully this will be a simple way to plan reunions, parties, and personal reconnections for all Highlanders. We trust the site will allow you to easily reconnect with old friends and plan further "celebrations" in coming years!

The class of 1971 is hosting another reunion event in 2021 for all graduates from the 60's and 70's. If you are a graduate of Bel Air in these two decades, you are considered a Classic Highlander. If you did not graduate from Bel Air in the 60s or 70s but identify yourself as a Classic Highlander, you are welcome to join this group and events for which the group is designed.

Bel Air High School Classics is the title of the page.

Please keep your posts to information that will be of interest to a Classic Highlander and we ask that you do not post items that are overly political or advertisements for businesses or other organizations. There are plenty of platforms available to advertise on other than our reunion and reconnection site.

If you have friends from BA on FB, please invite them to the group. We'll continue to use this site to stay connected and provide a source to plan future gatherings in hopes of keeping those fond memories on Yarbrough Drive alive.

Where are winds blowing you today? We need to hear from all you Classic Highlanders!
