Pictures from Thursday, day before Old Iron Show . Loading loose hay and binding corn. Notice it was the old fellas on the hay rack lol, Jim Stuart , Jon Graves , Dan Winstrom. They wanted to make sure I knew they were working hard. I'd say they work hard at being ornery 🤣.

Well....... how do you schedule an event when it rains alot......

Here's my tentative schedule for this week at Old Iron Show .

Wednesday....... bind some corn and put the loaded wagons under a roof for running thru silage chopper this weekend.

Wednesday..... maybe do some plowing, especially if it is too wet for corn binding.

Thursday...... put up loose hay with hay loader for lifting hay into hay mow using Loudens hay trolley. Side note... we will make our hay field by unrolling a big round bale with Rick Coffman horse drawn bale unroller😁.

Thursday..... more horse plowing (should be dry enough LOL)

Thursday...... maybe we will bind the corn this day instead of Wednesday????? Never know with mother nature 😏.

Friiday........ Hopefully put up loose hay in the hay mow, corn binding, plowing so we can reseed our wheat (probably not this weekend)

Saturday..... if it's raining, we will be grading the streets of the fairgrounds with 4 abreast horses

Otherwise, we will repeat Friday but to put a time on the demonstrations is up to mother nature....

WE WILL BE GIVING FREE HORSE DRAWN WAGON RIDES ALL WEEKEND 👍

The Work Horse Barn will be opening its doors once again, and we’d love to have you join us!

Come take a step back in time and explore our collection of horse-drawn implements. You’ll also have the opportunity to see the hay trolley in action and experience a piece of agricultural history brought to life.

There’s something special about seeing these old machines at work and learning about the important role the workhorse once played on the farm.
