This right here folks!

"Taking flak means you're on target"

Yesterday I was informed that a speaking invitation for a Law Enforcement event was rescinded over comments I made publicly regarding Cannabis reform. I did make the comments, meant every word & won't apologize for anything.

I will not identify the event or agency involved because it's not about any agency or individual. I'm not cruel nor am I a victim, this needs to be put out there because it's true and this is what I expected to happen eventually and now it has & as super cool US NAVY SEAL Jocko Willink says..."GOOD." 😎

This ain't about me, this is about whether grown adults, including Peace Officers, are still allowed to speak honestly about issues affecting millions of Americans.

I have an outstanding professional reputation built across 26 years of military service, federal law enforcement, clandestine strategic intelligence operations & not sucking at Sherrif'in. Still waiting for my modeling career to take off...any day now 😅 it's gon happen son! 🤣

I digress, I'm a Lawman through and through and will continue to be one. But I also believe there is nothing immoral about having an opinion.

Across the United States, public attitudes and laws surrounding Cannabis are changing rapidly. Conservative states, liberal states, veterans groups, physicians, cancer patients, trauma survivors, and ordinary Americans are all increasingly part of this conversation.

President Trump is publicly moving the national conversation on Cannabis & Psychedelic reform forward, and regardless of where people stand politically, the reality is this issue is no longer fringe or confined to one party or ideology.

Maybe I should reach out to President Trump about all this... 😀 Mr. President, I'm a New Yorker too Sir, big up! Ayo, my man! They TRYIN killing my vibe on these here mean Facebook streets homeboy, yo can you help a brother out? Holla at ya boy B! Also...Thank you Mr. President, I blast Wu Tang with morning coffee 😅❤️🇺🇸 is true 🤟

This issue matters to cohorts I ADORE, combat veterans carrying invisible wounds. It matters to cancer patients enduring pain and chemotherapy. It matters to people struggling with trauma, addiction, anxiety, and despair who are searching for relief and dignity. It matters if you...are alive, love and pay taxes to a country that loves you back yet has some great states run by "unusually wealthy" high aged mileage unimaginative fearful cowards who don't give a tuppenny cluck bout the very people they swore to SERVE anymore & maybe never did in the first place 🤷‍♂️

Progress has never come from people who waited comfortably for permission. The people who speak first, question first, and challenge old assumptions usually absorb the criticism first too. That's alright. Every meaningful cultural shift in American history started with uncomfortable conversations, you will take heat & damage.

I'm a Marine, we thrive in non permissive environments congested with heat & damage.

Heck partner I've eaten MRE's for 3 straight weeks in Afghanistan & that included several of them lil five fingers of death suckers too baby! 😅 The five fingers of hot dog death MRE, will test a Man, hell it'll try 'n take your very soul my son if you ain't careful friend. Yet if you can survive that I reckon you can survive anything. (Marines & other GWOT vets will testify & corroborate in the comments section 🤟)

Being a Peace Officer should mean being one of the good guys. It should mean standing up for people, even when it is unpopular. It should mean having the courage to think critically, speak honestly, and serve the public rather than fear difficult conversations.

You cant stop me from doing good in my America, and you especially can not stop me from doing good in my Kansas...

"The right to worship God according to the dictates of conscience shall never be infringed, and you can't rule me "crazed" when I am testifying of my beliefs."

The American people have a voice. Kansans have a voice. Public policy, belongs to the people. Hang tough & keep fighting for your rights to party. 💪

Politicians, this year's elections will be the last in which anyone with a fixed "anti-THC" stance will be a viable candidate. Us "kids" aren't putting up with your nonsense anymore.

Several years ago on I70 I conducted a traffic stop & the nice older gal driving was very apologetic for speeding. As it was hard to ignore the w**d aroma 😎 I asked her & her passenger how much Cannabis she had in the vehicle.

Passenger admitted to having some in her bag in the backseat. Driver was not impaired & had driven her good friend in the passenger seat from Kansas to Colorado for a short vacation & to buy Cannabis as for her: "it's the only thing that works for nausea during my chemo." 🥲 Looking at her, she was clearly ill.

I gave the nice Gal driver a warning for the speed, wished her good friend passenger a very good day, ended the traffic stop & went back to work.

I know you're all on the edge of your seat 😅 yet yes, I WILLINGLY LET THEM DRIVE OFF WITH THE ILLEGAL CONTRABAND (IMPOSSIBLY EFFICACIOUS CHEMOTHERAPY RELIEF MEDICINE) OMG!! 😅 CALL THE NATIONAL GUARD!

I often imagine if I had confiscated that woman's w**d & I'm thankful I'm consistently hit with a powerfully reflective negative natural feeling that I don't think I could've dreamt up a bigger villain bad guy & that bad guy would have been me.

It's quite insane to me that I could have placed her under arrest, fined her or been totally covered under color of law for confiscating her Cannabis.

"KANSAS COP STEALS DYING WOMAN'S CANCER MEDICINE" please read that again & read it like a headline. Does it gives you a nice warm fuzzy...or strong hateful type feeling inside? Search your feelings...

So imagine for a minute you hadn't been lied to since childhood by 100 year old propaganda & lived in a world where "Ma*****na" simply existed & was relatively boring, regulated & taxed like anything else as it FN well should AND WILL be...

Politicians, this year's elections will be the last in which anyone with a fixed "anti-THC" stance will be a viable candidate. Us "kids" aren't putting up with your nonsense anymore.

I didn't fight in the wars to come and deprive you or anyone of anything, I came home to serve the people & provide & fight for rights, needs & freedom.

I'm speaking at an anti prohibition rock concert tonight in Manhattan Kansas & I'm still the only openly anti prohibition Sheriff in our entire great state of Kansas & that's A ok man, I won't be so alone for too much longer 😎

I'm going to be in a suit at the rock concert tonight like Mike from SLC Punk because that's just metal AF for some reason to me 🤟😅🤟

Politicians, this year's elections will be the last in which anyone with a fixed "anti-THC" stance will be a viable candidate. Us "kids" aren't putting up with your nonsense anymore.

This message brought to you by a Christian Republican Lawman / Marine Combat Veteran & proud owner of a current library card 😀

Tonight is the opening of our final exhibit, and I have to say that even though I'm sad that this is our final exhibit, I am beyond excited for who it is. We have known James for the past 3 decades (plus) and have watched his passion for art (visual and musical) grow. Beyond that, as you will see in his art, his passion for human rights has also grown and taken form in his art.

When I approached James about a show, I told him I wanted blood and politics. Boy, did he deliver. In a time when some people are just coming to terms with the ways of our society, James has been capturing it on canvas in paint and blood for over a decade. At this point in our history, James is offering a perspective most could never even imagine. Come down and see an artist's take on the current state of society.

Also have questions ready, James likes questions...

Hi everyone, we just wanted to let you know that James Taylor’s show “Stomach Knots” will be our last show at Gold City Gallery. Our business plan was to use the revenue from the “shop” to fund the gallery, but unfortunately, Kansas has decided to crack down on shops that sell h**p derived THC, and that includes us. We are disappointed that this has happened, not just for us, but for all the folks affected by this ban/crackdown. With that being said, the reception for this show is on the 9th, and it would be cool to have a great “closing” opening reception for James. We will be closing early this spring to complete a year at our location. We have had a lot of fun, thank you to everyone who supported us.
