California born, this artist whose family ancestry is of British and Scandinavian decent, also has rich Hawaiian roots. in1880 his family in Norway, in hopes of reaching California, indentured themselves with a Hawaiian plantation. Reaching Maui in 1881, Anthony's Great Grandparents married there. As the years passed, some set sail for California while others remained. Today Anthony spends much of his time painting in Hawaii and California. With only his brushes and limitless creativity and never the use of an air brush, Anthony challenges the boundaries of painting on canvas with a gift that nature, the greatest teacher, has given him. Using a very special combination of offset lithography and then silkscreening, Anthony's limited editions mixed media graphics accurately reproduces the dynamics of his original oil paintings.
