Now's your chance. Celebrate the 1889 Schoolhouse birthday with cake, blackberries and lemonade--the menu used by the Edmond Ladies Aid Society to raise money for the schoolhouse, which opened on Sept 16th with 19 students.

You’ve seen your kids enjoy our schoolhouse programs—now it’s time for YOU to take a seat at the desks!

We’re excited to invite you to Adult Only 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse Day on Aug. 31at the historic 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse. This immersive program is usually reserved for student field trips, but for one special day, we’re opening it up just for grown-ups.

Led by a costumed schoolmarm, you’ll experience slate writing, recitations, penmanship practice, and 19th-century school rules in a real one-room schoolhouse. It’s a hands-on history experience like no other!
