Please join Edison Arts Society for our latest opening as we will present two wonderful EAS artists, Arlene and Julius Carallo. Their works are being displayed at the Edison Arts Society Gallery on the 3rd floor of the Municipal Building in Edison. The exhibit is opening Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 6:30 pm and running through November 23, 2001. The Gallery hours are 9:00 am until 4:00 pm during the business week. Debra Biederman will also be there to provide the music.
Arlene is a talented oil painter and her artwork reflects her experiences and creative spirit. She believes learning is ongoing and continues to study at The Ridgewood Art Institute and South Avenue Arts. In Garwood, NJ. Arlene says, “I am indebted to so many art teachers who helped me develop my love and style in the art of painting. They taught the use of form and freedom and the appreciation of composition and color in both still life and landscape.”
Julius learned the graphics arts trade while working in his fathers printing company in Brooklyn, NY. He worked as a typesetter for 30 years, letter pressman, offset pressman and later a production manager. He also turned to stage and then became a clown all before he went back to painting with Mark Seanger at the South Avenue Arts in Garwood before becoming a member at the Edison Arts Society. He has landscapes, still lifes and portraits with oil paints in his exhibit.
“We are thrilled to support such talented artists! Both have exhibited with EAS before, but their beautiful work is well worth seeing again. Please view edisonarts.org or like us on Facebook to show your support,” said Gloria S. Dittman, President of the Edison Arts Society.
