Bring the kids and let them discover a time before computers, when newspapers were printed the old-fashioned way. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see how things were done in days gone by!

**Museum Monday! ✂️**

Step back in time at our replicated **Town Barber Shop**! Back in the day, this wasn’t just the place for a shave and a haircut—it was also where folks gathered to catch up on the latest local news and share a little community gossip!

And on **November 14**, during our **49th Heritage Festival**, you’ll have the chance to experience this wonderful building for yourself—and even get your **own haircut**!

Come make some memories and step back in time with us at the **Heritage Park Museum of East Texas** in downtown Edgewood!

**Museum Monday!**

Step back in time with a visit to the **Scott Store**, built in the 1920s for the sharecroppers who worked the family’s land. The building was donated by the family in 1987 and lovingly restored as part of the Heritage Park Museum of East Texas.

Come experience a little piece of East Texas history in **downtown Edgewood!**

Our new fence looks good and the gates are now sturdy and easy open. Prestige Outdoors worked hard getting the Museum dressed up!

A little picket nailing on a Saturday. All custom cut 3’ pickets to match what used to be here. Getting this 1,200’ of perimeter fence taken care of for the Edgewood Historical Society

🏡 **Museum Monday!** 🏡

Step back in time with a visit to the **McMillan House, built in 1922.

Ella McMillan was a photographer, and the skylight in the house was added to bring in natural light—an important feature for her work.

Many of the cabinets in the home are original, and you’ll even find a claw-foot bathtub in the bathroom!

Today, the McMillan House serves as the office and gift shop for the Edgewood Historical Society. Interesting molding and historical items are found throughout the building. Proceeds from the gift shop help with the continued maintenance and preservation of Heritage Park. ❤️
