These pieces, “It Ain’t over Till it’s Over” (left) & “Nevermore” (right) by Edana Amentler in our “Memento Mori II” exhibit are stand outs in the show. They’re scale at 24” x 48” each, as well as their graphic appeal and brushwork, make them difficult to overlook.

Stop by the gallery to see these up close as well as 188 more works by local artists in the show before it’s gone. Exhibit runs through November 14.

Anita was out of town last Saturday, and couldn’t make it to the Opening Reception of our “Memento Mori II” exhibit so she stopped by this weekend instead to see what was in the show. She had her eye on a couple of pieces, but ended up falling in love with this lovely little linocut, “Patience”, by Karen Rauppius.

Thanks again to Anita for the purchase, and congrats to Karen on the sale!

Our “Memento Mori II” exhibit runs through November 14. Stop in to see all the amazing pieces (a total of 190) by local artists in the show before they are gone.

Sold!

Pam was in town visiting her brother Jon who stopped by to say hi. Pam saw this lovely oil pastel piece “Hank in Repose” by Tricia Lowrey Lippert that hadn’t yet been picked up from our recent “Whole lotta Hank” exhibit and had to have it.

Thanks again to Pam for the purchase, and congrats to Tricia on the sale!

This painting, “Till Eternity Passes Away” by Michelle Bold is a stand out in our “Memento Mori II” exhibit. It’s a haunting scene of a woman standing at the edge of the sea waiting endlessly for her lover to return, always hopeful with her lamp on her hand to guide them home. It’s no surprise it sold at the show’s Opening Reception last Saturday.

“Memento Mori II” runs through November 14. Stop by and see all the amazing works from local artists in the show.

Also, we are hosting two events tomorrow. First up is “Pumpkin Painting and Decorating” With Natalija from 11am-1pm. This is the first in her series of “Holiday Create & Connect” events meant to bring people together to chat and use their creativity. After that is the Phoenix Collective’s “Paint, Sip & Poetry” event from 2-4pm. Drink tea and delve into your creativity to explore mortality, remembrance, and meaning.

A little video from last night’s “Wicked Brew” presented by Lehigh Valley Poetry as part of the Easton Book Festival in the Courtyard at Connexions Gallery. Always a good time. Thanks to everyone who came out, to those who performed and to Andy Laties for all the effort into making events like this happen. Poetry is alive at Connexions.
