The Potter Stone

Pottery studio in central Vermont. Open to public most days. PLz call! I work with low-fired, burnished, earthenware, and fire it with alternative methods.

Working in both functional and esthetic forms I try to meet the challenges each pottery characteristic offers. My porcelain and stoneware, while functional, durable, and ready to meet the expectations of everyday day life, also has a visual and textural quality that combines both traditional forms with a contemporary spirit. This allows me to approach the creation of a form, from a purely esthetic

perspective without concerns of function or durability. My work is primarily wheel thrown with some hand built and altered pieces.

I use them wrong half the time and I’m horrible at the application but I love tools of measurement. They always look like pieces of math laying about, physical, in the real world. ,

Hey! I am going to be at Tap to Table tomorrow, Sunday Oct 2nd from 10am - 4pm.

I will have a fresh batch of Jack O Lanterns to sell but they are going to go fast! I have sold a number before they were even out of the kiln! I will also have functional pottery and hand carved spoons ! 🙌
