Explore More! Partner Feature - Cooperstown Candlelight Ghost Tours
As part of the Haunted History Trail of New York State, Cooperstown Candlelight Ghost Tours is a must do! Tours are offered 5 nights a week in September and October, at 7pm starting at Pioneer Park (corner of Pioneer and Main Street in the village of Cooperstown). They operate every evening from April through August starting at 8pm. The one-hour tours combine the true, documented ghost stories of Cooperstown with the village's rich and vibrant history. Registration is required by calling 607-547-8070; fees are $20/adult; $10 children ages 6-12; and free for children 5 and under.

We have one workshop left this year, a historic cooking workshop for kids! Children ages 7-14 (accompanied by an adult), will prepare and share a farmhouse lunch using recipes written for young people in the early 1900s.

The workshop is on Saturday, October 24 from 9:30 am-2 pm and costs $55 for members/$70 for non-members. (Registration fee covers one child/adult pair.)

Tomorrow is the last day of our 2026 season at Hanford Mills! We will reopen on May 15, 2027. Over the winter we will continue maintenance and upkeep of the museum and collections, as well as our education programs for schools and students.
Whether you visited, volunteered, donated, or followed us on social media, thank you for your part in making the 2026 season a successful one!

Our Trees and Timber Festival will feature local organizations doing ongoing demonstrations throughout the day. Come learn about wood carving, bench building, and fruit tree pruning, among other things. Happening this Saturday, October 10 from 10 am-4 pm. Admission is by donation.

Kids will have plenty to do at our Trees and Timber Festival on October 10! Learn about trees and wood products, play in the Learning Lab, and win a prize by completing a scavenger hunt around the mill site!

The event is from 10 am-4pm, with admission by donation.

Join the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society for an open house event and learn about DOAS, our programs, our mission and more at this fun, family-friendly day! We’ll have lots of free refreshments and coffee (while supplies last), a Raptor ID program, trail hike and mindful birding walk, and a special Live Birds of Prey program with Falcon Heart Rescue.

Come for the day and learn about ways you can be involved!

We are giving the hardware store a much needed fresh coat of paint, restoring it to look as it did in the 1960s when it was owned by the Pizza brothers.
