Our first HC Open Studios Day is this Saturday! 🎉

We have 18 incredibly talented Artists in Residence upstairs - from all different disciplines and walks of life. It’s an amazing community forming at The Harpswell Collective ✨

We’ll be hosting Open Studios Days on the 2nd Saturday of the month so you can visit and see what our community of creatives are up to! 🎨🪄

Light changes everything.

Harpswell Collective invites artists to submit work for Let the Light In, an exhibition celebrating the many ways light transforms our world—through landscape, water, people, architecture, memory, emotion, and imagination. Whether your work captures the golden glow of the Maine coast, quiet interior moments, dramatic skies, or light as metaphor, we’d love to see it.

Submission Details
☀️ Submit up to 5 pieces per artist
📅 Submission Deadline: August 15
🖼️ Exhibition Dates: August 18 – September 18

Commission Rates
• Collective Members: 25%

Join us Thursday, July 30 | 5:30–8:30 PM as Harpswell Collective welcomes Barbara Coburn for a special Artist Showcase.

Working primarily in watercolor and egg tempera, Barbara has spent decades creating luminous paintings that celebrate the landscapes and spirit of New England. Her work carries a timeless quality, often drawing comparisons to the poetic realism of Andrew Wyeth while remaining distinctly her own—filled with warmth, nostalgia, and a profound sense of place.
