I’m so excited for our Curated Conversation tonight, 6pm, at AB NY Gallery between artist Elizabeth Karsch and myself. Curating this show was such a joy and we had many conversations about the relationship that we have to the works on view and I’m excited to share that as well as talk about the relationships that we all have with the art in our lives. AB NY Gallery presents Elizabeth Karsch: Eye of the Storm, August 23-31, a solo exhibition of recent works on paper by Elizabeth Karsch, curated by Art Advisor and Independent Curator Casey Dalene. Experience Karsch’s tornado-like abstractions that defy gravity, moving and undulating as paint and line are constructed and deconstructed across the expansive works on paper.

I’m super excited to share that I am curating an exhibition of works by artist, Elizabeth Karsch, at the ABNY Gallery in East Hampton, Opening Friday, August 23rd. The exhibit, Eye of the Storm, will feature 8 large abstract works on paper measuring 5x7 ft each, as well as smaller works and studies from the series. The abstractions ebb and flow in tornado-like shapes and are filled with a variety of marks and materials that envelope the viewer in their brilliant chaos.

I was so moved by this body of work and have been developing this curation with Elizabeth and can’t wait to see it come to fruition at ABNY Gallery.

The Neo-Tile Club: conceived by as part of his Community Artist in Residence at Guild Hall. Bringing the East End community together to paint on tiles, inspired by the historic Tile Club from 1877-1887, some of the first artists to venture to the East End and receive publicity exposing the area as a bucolic setting for landscape painting and further solidifying our future as an artist colony. 👌🏻 thank you to all who contributed their works to this exhibition, and to for including the original tile club paintings in the museum exhibition.
