VISIT THE VARNUMS ON MEMORIAL DAY! Right after the East Greenwich Memorial Day Parade! We're hosting open house tours at the Varnum Armory Museum and Varnum House Museum! Located within walking distance of each other, visit to see rare historic artifacts pertaining to both wartime and peacetime in America. FB event links below. OPEN THIS MONDAY AFTER THE EG MEMORIAL DAY PARADE! Come to the Varnum Armory Museum to reflect on the cost of freedom and spend time in the company of Rhode Island heroes. On Monday, May 25, we're open from 11 AM to 3:00 PM at 6 Main St immediately after the EG Memorial Day parade.

The Varnum House Museum's big Saturday didn't end with the Rhode Island 250 Liberty Tree Ceremony at East Greenwich Town Hall (Town of East Greenwich RI)! After that, Troop 2 East Greenwich planted the corn in our Three Sisters Garden at the Varnum House Museum. We were even graced with a cameo by The Ladies of the Greene!

Here's an update on the creation of 1st Rhode Island Cavalryman Lyman Aylesworth in 1/6th scale. The artist is weathering the cloth uniform and figure. The detail is amazing! We can't wait for this to arrive at the Varnum Armory Museum!
