COME PEDAL THROUGH THE PAST!

The Eagle River Historical Society has launched a new downtown tour this summer in partnership with Hawks Nest Outfitters!

Our new Pedal Tours go all the way to beautiful Silver Lake and back where we explore how the little settlement of Eagle River grew into the town it is today!

We will visit the homes of early movers and shakers, schools, churches, natures schools, view some old architecture, and where the ice blocks for Ice Castles are harvested! Tours are less than an hour and a half and also include 90+ Historic Images!

Come learn how locals have in town for the past 140 years!

WANT A SNEAK PEAK OF ONE OF EAGLE RIVER'S MOST ICONIC RESORTS?

Join us on August 16th as the Eagle River Historical Society hosts a behind the scenes tour of Jansen's Eagle Lake Resort, Eagle River Wi! Explore some of the cabins, Ice House, grounds, and much more!

Your ticket will include an hour long tour of the resort, a cookout with brats, hamburgers, hot dogs, summer side salads, a cash bar with "Boozy Pops", lawn games, and live music by Chuck Lange!

This is your way to get some of that upfront history but also relax lake side and enjoy the chain of lakes like vacationers 100 years ago!

Tickets are $65.00 per person and run every half hour from 3:00pm-6:00pm, when booking your ticket, be sure to pick your time slot!

Want to learn more about Eagle River's History but don't know where to start?

Well, this summer you can join the Eagle River Historical Society on our HISTORIC DOWNTON WALKING TOURS! We will take you through the history of every building on Wall Street, covering bank robberies, explosions, bar fights, and the personalities and businesses that developed Eagle River over the past 140+ years! Tours are about an hour long and we bring along over 100+ Historic Pictures!

A very special thank you to all of the people who contributed or donated to our Grape Stomp Festival & Annual Chair-ity Auction Fundraising Event last Sunday! This event helps the Eagle River Historical Society 's annual programming and to keep our promise of FREE ADMISSION to both our Depot Museum and our Main Museum.

But it also helps maintain our vast collection of artifacts and displays, but also to preserve two new huge collections we received this Summer from the Vilas County News Review and the Wall Street Pharmacy!
