Tonight is the night! The DuPont Historical Society will be hosting their Spooky Stories event in Clocktower Park. Chris Staudinger from will dive into the haunted history of cryptids, aliens, and monsters from the region. There have been many iconic sightings of creatures in the PNW and we will dive into tales from Sasquatch to the sea serpent.
The tent opens at 6:30pm and the stories will start at 7pm. Tickets can be bought at the door for $7 and kids 12 and under get in free. We encourage you to bring your own chair and a jacket!

Coins have a head and a tail. Historic sites are also two-sided when it comes to discovering their past, those being historical research and archaeological investigations. In Fort Nisqually’s case, both were called upon to advance the site starting in the 1980s. On August 12 Fort Nisqually historian Steve Anderson will explore this history, covering the origins of the Hudson's Bay Company. He'll go into detail on the restoration of Ft. Nisqually and the research that helped revive it.
